Callum Bodman (Lancaster Club) recently voyaged South for the Victorian Under-15 and Under-17 State Foil Championships.
In the Under-15s, a field of just under 20 saw Callum win his pool of 7, including having a victory (5-4) over the current U15s National Champion. Ranked third coming into the DE, Callum had a bye, then won his first elimination 15-0. In the quarter-finals, Callum won 15-10, then lost in the semi-finals 9-15. In Victoria, they fence off for Bronze medals, which Callum won 15-11.
In the Under-17s, there was a very much smaller field. Callum finished 5th overall.
