ACT Fencing hosted the 64th National Open and Veteran Championships at the AIS Main Arena December 5-9 2014. Congratulations to all the medal-winners, and a very big ‘Thankyou!’ to the many helpers, oganisers, and supporters who all made the event run flawlessly even though it was the largest Championship ever. Highlights for ACT Fencing include Gold and Silver in the Mens Veteran Epee, Gold in the Mens Veteran Foil, and Equal-Third in both the Mens Epee Teams and Womens Foil Teams (below). ACTFA also ranked second behind NSW in the inaugural Centenary Shield Competition – an award for the most succesful Veteran State teams, donated by ACTFA to the AFF in our Centenary year.
