ACT fencing congratulates ANU Fencing Club member Ash Syme on returning to Australia from the Asian Junior Fencing Championships with a Gold Medal from the Womens Epee Team Competition. The Australians (Ash, Amy Reynolds, Leah Tausan and Dian Sher) beat Uzbekistan 45:25 to make it into the finals where they beat Singapore 45:38. This is the first time and Australian team has won a Gold medal at these Championships.
