As approved by the AFF Exec at their meeting on the 17th July 2011, all conductive foil masks for use at AFF sanctioned National tournaments must adhere to the Rules and the published Guidelines as provided by the FIE. These guidelines are to be adopted into the rules in Australia, and are to be brought in for AFF#3 2011 (Canberra).
In this regard the following information is noted:
For new masks:
“Only masks with the FIE label of quality, together with the name of the manufacturer, the letters 1600N and M2009 printed in the spring/tongue, placed in the back of the mask. The same information is placed in a tag sewed in the interior of the bib.”
For retrofitted masks:
“The retrofit bibs have the FIE label M2009 with the brand of the manufacturer in the interior area and mandatory can only be applied on masks of the same brand of the bib.”
