Coaches and ACT Fencers
 
ACTFA will be running a coaches seminar where Lucy Joske will be presenting some of her observations from her visits to clubs earlier in the year.
 
All coaches, those interested in coaching and committee members are encouraged to attend.

Volunteers Needed - ACT fencing community
 
ACT fencing is hosting The Intermediate School Championships (yr 7,8,9) at the Tuggeranong archery centre June 17, 18 & 19 Friday (setup), Saturday and Sunday. This is a big event for the ACT and need volunteers for setup, event running and pack up. The list of jobs is below, if you can volunteer that would be great. We would like to see at least 3 volunteers from each club in the ACT.
 
Friday 6pm -10pm Equipment control and setup
Saturday 8am and 10am equipment control
Saturday AM and PM DT runner and general volunteers
Sunday 8am and 10am equipment control
Sunday AM and PM DT runner and general volunteers
Sunday 4pm pack up.
 
Junior fencers are welcome to help, you will be taught how to do equipment control and other jobs. Great opportunity to see how a tournament is run.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT the Tuggeranong Archery Centre FROM 6:00pm Friday 15th July FOR SETUP.

Early bird and normal entries for the ACT Championships are now closed. Entries from today will incur a late fee.

Due to insufficient entries the Women's Open Sabre and Women's Veteran Sabre will not proceed

The 2022 ACTFA State Open, Novice and Veteran Epee, Foil and Sabre Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday July 16 and 17 at the Tuggeranong Archery Centre (299 Soward Way, Greenway ACT). This event was rescheduled from March.

Please read the attached info flier for dates and times, dress requirements, venue location and how to register.  Please also note the early bird payment option.  ACTFA fencers are eligible for one free Championship entry per year.  All fencers must be registered with their State Association.

ACT Fencers register through the new Onpoint membership system at:

ACT Fencers aged 10-15. The ACT will be hosting the next round of the 2022 Australian Youth Circuit (AYC2) in Canberra on 7-8 May at the Tuggeranong Archery Centre. Registrations close 23 April 2022, see link below.
 
This is a great opportunity to fence a competition with interstate fencers in your age group.
