Breaking News – Keep the dates 23 to 28 November 2018 free – ‘the winner is Canberra
Canberra will be front and centre in the Commonwealth Fencing world as we play host to the 2018 Senior and Veterans Commonwealth Fencing Championships. This is a significant event on the international fencing calendar; the Championships will run from 23 to 28 November 2018 and will be hosted at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra. Competitions will be held in all three fencing weapons (foil, epee and sabre) for men and women, across both individual and team events.
The joint announcement by Cerri Murphy (ACTFA President), Evelyn Halls (AFF President), and Helen Smith (CFF President), has set us the challenge, as we prepare to host over 800, mainly overseas, visitors to Canberra in a spectacular display of fencing. Local talent will be on display. Be part of it, sharpen up your training, dust off your volunteer shirt, and bring your friends and family along to watch.
