Timetable for 2017 AFF Open and Veteran Championships

The timetable for the 2017 AFF Open and Veteran Championships is now available (below). The championship will be held at the Main Arena at the AIS 7-12 December.
To register for competitons, please see the news item on the AFF website. Normal registrations close 24 November, after that date a late fee will apply. It is important to read the FAQs on the AFF website and be aquainted with procedures and equipment requirements before registering.
2017 Veteran (40+) Epee Championships

The 2017 ACTFA Veteran Championships series concluded with the Veteran Epee compettion at the Tuggeranong Archery/Multisport Cetnre on Friday 20 October. Congratulations to Cerri Murphy, Gold medallist in the Womens category, and to Grant McKay who won the Gold in the Mens Category. Grant had previously won Gold in the Foil and Sabre events as well. Congratulations to the the medallists and participants in the Vet series and thankyou to the helpers at the competitons. Full rankings and results can be found in the Main Menu.
ACT Veteran (40+) Epee and Foil Championships

The ACTFA 2017 Veteran (40+ ) Foil Championships were held at 'Masters' Fencing club, at the Tuggeranong Archery Centre on the 13th October. Congratulations to Grant Mackay on his Gold medal in the competition. This win for Grant comes one week after he also won the Veteran Sabre Championships. Full results and updated rankings will appear on this website shortly. The Veteran Championships series continues on Friday 20th October with the Veteran Epee Competitions. Good luck to al lthe entrants.
Cancellation of U23 events at State Championships

Important news: please note that the U23 Foil U23 Epee and U23 Sabre competitions have been cancelled at tomorrow's State Championships at the ANU. The remaining events (U20 Foil, epee and Sabre, plus Vet Sabre) will go ahead as scheduled. Please see the info flier for detaisl of times and equpiment requirements.

2017 ACT U20 U23 Championships (3 weapons) and ACT Veteran Sabre Championships

The 2017 State Championships in U20 and 23 categories plus Veteran sabre Championships will be held at the ANU Sports Hall on Sunday October 8 and is open to all affiliated fencers.

Riverina Championships in September in Wagga

ACTFA fencers are invited to to compete in the 2017 Riverina Championships, Wagga, on 23-24 September. Please see the attached flier (below) for details of times, venue, payment options (including early bird discount)
ANU Annual and Intervarsity Challenge

The ANU Fencing Club hosted their 2017 Annual Tournament and Intervarsity Challenge at the ANU venue on 19-20 August. All weapons were represented for both Novice and Open categories. Congratulations to all the medallists and participants. Thankyou to all the organisers and volunteers.
3 weapon team competiton in Penrith

The Penrith Academy of Fenicng invites all affiliated fencers to their annual Three Weapon Team Competition, to be held on Sunday 23rd July. It is a regional competition requiring a team of three fencers - male or female - one in each weapon, foil, epee and sabre.
Registration is from 8.45am and the entry fee is $35 per team. Canteen will be available on day.
