2018 ACT Veteran Sabre Championships

The ACTFA 2018 Veteran Sabre Championships took place at Masters Fencing Club last Friday. congratulations to Cameron Smith on his Gold Medal, and to all the medallists. Well done to all the participants and thanks to Carl again for his DT work over the last 3 Fridays. It's been a smooth and enjoyable series.

Volunteer form for 2018 Commonwealth Fencing Championships

ACT Fencing is hosting the 2018 Commonwealth Fencing Championships (Open and Veterans) Hundreds of fencers and teams from over 12 Commonwealth nations will come to Canberra for the event, which will be the biggest in ACT Fencing history. To make the event a success we are calling on local fencers to take part as volunteers. Please read the attached volunteer form. Level 1 coaching course

2018 ACT school competition
- Details
Attached below is a flyer for the 2018 ACT school competition. This year it will be held as a team competition, with a fencer in each weapon. Fencers enter as individuals and where there are not enough in one school to make a team, we will combine them for mixed school teams. Please share with all school-aged fencers. This is a friendly competition for young fencers to participate in and get to know how competitions work as well as meeting others in their age groups who enjoy the same sport.
2018 State Novice Foil and Epee Championships

Engarde Fencing Club hosted the 2018 State Foil and Epee Novice Fencing Championships. Full results will appear in the ACTFA Results nad Rankings link. Congratulations to all the medallists and participants. Welcome to all thos competing in a competition for the first time. Thankyou to all those at Engarde Club that assisted all day long: Di on canteen, Carl at DT, referees Shaun Garry Gordon and Hans.
2018 Veteran Championships

The 2018 Veteran Championships will be held at Masters Fencing Club at the Tuggeranong Archery Centre over three Friday nights in October. Please read the attached info flier for dates and times, dress requirements, venue location and how to register. Please also note the early bird payment option. ACTFA fencers are eligible for one free Championship entry per year.
