Fencing Master Class

Engarde Fencing Club in Wanniassa is holding a Masterclass on Monday the 7th of March with the wonderful Nigel Nutt. This is for all weapons and levels and those wanting to take their fencing to the next level. Great training just before ACT State Championships. $5 for non Engarde Members.
Adult 'Learn to Fence' course in Tuggeranong

Want to try fencing? Know someone that wants to try fencing? Masters Fencing Club in Tuggeranong is hosting a beginner course for people 20 years and over at the Tuggeranong Archery Centre on Friday evenings starting April 1. See the attached flier for more information. No experience necessary and equipment hire is included in the fee.
Referee Meeting this coming Sunday

There will be a referee workshop at 2pm on Sunday 6th March, at the UC Sports Hub in Bruce ( same venue as last weekend's Presentation Day, building 29 on the campus map http://www.canberra.edu.au/maps/campus-map ), to discuss the new officiating system and assist any who want to sign up and progress their accreditation. Learn to fence course

Following the success of the come n try night at Engarde Fencing Club last week, the club will start a Beginner Fencing course, starting Monday 29 Feb. All equipment supplied and no experience necessary. It's fun and easy. Phone 0418 612 195 or show up at the Mary Mackillop College school hall, Mackinnon St Wanniassa, on Monday just before 7pm.

It is anticipated that the first Mozzies meeting will be at the ACT’s Tri State Tournament in April 2016. This is a fun weekend with games, team and individual fencing, and a great place for the Mozzies to meet each other.

ACT Fencing wishes to say a fond goodbye to our 2015 Mozzies who are moving on to fence in an older age bracket.
Thank you to Genevieve, Daniel, Darcy, Alex, Aidan and Oliver who have spent many hours of training and participating on behalf of the ACT, as a Mozzie. We wish you all the best for your fencing this year, and hope to have you back one day as a Mozzie Mentor.
ACTFA Presentation Day and AGM

ACT Fencing will host the AGM and Presentation Day at the University of Canberra Sports Hub on Saturday 27 February at 3pm. the Fencing community is invited to attend and congratulate our 2015 Champions and Runners-up. To see who-won-what please visit the ACTFA Rankings in the Main menu on the home page. Please bring a plate of food to share for afterwards. Voting in the AGM is open to all affiliated ACTFA members over the age of 18 at the time of the meeting.
2016 Affiliation now open

2016 online ACTFA affiliation and paper affiliation forms are now available in the Main Menu (right). ACTFA Affiliation is based on the calendar year and expires December 31 2016. Fencers must be affiliated to fence outside ACT, participate in State competitions, camps and courses, and to access insurance for most ACT clubs. 2016 is the last year that paper forms will be available. Contact your club committee for more information.
